People say we look like a well-oiled machine, but we do a great job of staying positive amid the harsh realities we've faced.
Woofbowl almost never happened because we gave a reputable contractor our career and military savings to find after 9 months of delays, the contractor did nothing to the truck and had filed for bankruptcy. Woofbowl wasn't able to recover any funds. So now, our savings was gone, we were stuck in our commercial kitchen lease, and also our entire inventory had to be discarded. The loss accumulated to over $100k. We knew our only option was to move forward in finding a new builder. With this they had to take on more debt and make more sacrifices - physically and mentally. So we had to build Woofbowl TWICE.
COVID put Woofbowl into a deeper hole as sales dropped drastically - almost 90%. Woofbowl has no investors, no PPP loans, and no stimulus funds to lean on. In the unprecedentedly difficult time we were forced to navigate quickly, rise up to the challenge, and find creative ways to improve cash flow.
