Why should you help???
Kirby was taken from us too early and had more to give and would have, given the chance. He was passionate about helping anyone he could get started in the industry he loved. This is our chance to continue that for him.
Whether you knew him from Jasper. Performed with him at the Theatre School of Mount Royal. Maybe you Celebrated and Anguished over work and trying to make it in arguably the toughest industry in the world.
Maybe you were one of the friends he would do anything for anytime.
He may have been your Prince Eric. The leader of your Spinjitsu hero's Cole. Your Michelangelo. The Miroku you grew up with. You Yelled with him as Goku. Felt the power of the Death Note with his Teru Mikami. Flew with him as Towa Barton. Raced with him as Redline. Or lifted the Glasses as Cyclops. Maybe you knew him as your Captain Dave on Stargate Atlantis. Or were delighted in seeing him in so many other TV shows and even a couple of movies. Kirby gave life to so many characters that have a special place in so many people's hearts.
And if you were fortunate enough to just have met him somewhere at some time. On a motor bike ride or in a pub or just out with friends and hear him share a laugh and a story only to know afterwards that you had just met someone special.
Kirby had a huge impact on so many lives. He lived to give to others and this is our chance to create something special in his name.
If we all just give a little. The lifetime Kirby invested in building so many great connections will make something special for a long time and help a lot of people.
We are creating a Legacy Scholarship which will be dedicated to helping dreamers like Kirby get quality education in the Performing Arts.
Our goal is to create a lasting legacy in his name and maybe some day it will help another Kirby from some small town realize their dreams.
