Benefitting Brian "Hammer" Hanna
Donation protected
Over twenty years ago Brian Hanna, brother of Liz Hanna, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. This illness put him on a lifetime of medications, to help him maintain a normal and productive life. Unfortunately in the last year, the medications that had helped him no longer worked.
Brian found himself becoming increasingly ill. The years of the disease and medications had caused him to suffer severe liver damage. He was now in need of a liver transplant. Brian reached the point where if he didn't receive a liver transplant. His prospects of long-term survival were minimal.
With the help of his New York based medical team and family. Brian entered a program at a Florida medical center. This center was determined to be best equipped to meet Brian's transplant needs.
In nothing short of a miracle. Brian received his life-saving liver transplant surgery. Brian and family still have a long, hard struggle ahead of them. The family has incurred many expenses fighting Brian's disease. These costs, included but not limited to maintaining a residence near his hospital, will continue for the foreseeable future. Brian also had to take a leave from his job. This was a painful necessity for a man who prided himself in supporting his wife, Lisa and daughter, Danielle.
The Hannas have been a positive influence in the Rockaway community for decades. Ever supportive, there are few businesses or people who haven't received help of some sort, from the Hannas. Especially from his sister Liz, who has always championed the community and its' growth.
It is my pleasure to try to help Brian and his family. I hope you can help also. Thank you very much.
