We initiated this project in April 2020 under the name •MIDDLEGR—ND, which we’ve recently changed to gs‘meːmiss.
With the support of grants, donations and our own investments, we laid the groundwork. We got to put a team together, create the brand identity, start production, and finish the first single.
About
gs‘meːmiss is a lifestyle brand, with an eponymous album, podcast, and fashion label. The seamless blend of elements within this project will resonate in the hearts of personal growth seekers. With this project we aim to create experiences that entertain and inspire; using the power of music to improve lives by promoting health and self-care.
The album
A 14-track fragile body of work where Levi opens up about life; struggles and growth. Sonically displaying a darker shade of his Pop Caribbean roots.
The podcast
In this podcast, Levi Silvanie has open conversations with his guests about personal growth — identifying moments in life that help you discover and activate your infinite potential.
The fashion label
gs‘meːmɪss is a fashion label, founded in 2013. Levi started up this brand to articulate the vibrant and resilient nature of the Dutch Caribbean into simple designs with a galvanizing reminder; “everything you need — you are.”
