Linda's 1.4 Valentines Challenge

This Go Fund me page is for Linda who lives in Supported living run by the charity Hft.  Linda was involved in a terrible car crash when she was little which left her with lots of injuries and needs to wear special boots with a caliper to walk and so can not walk too far unaided.

Linda has been walking round the garden where she lives for the last year whilst in lockdown to enable her to lose weight, but she has now been inspired to set herself a target to raise money for Hft.  She will be will doing 233 laps of the garden (the garden is 0.06km) over the next few weeks to reach a target of 14km as this is being done in conjunction with a challenge  called Hft 1.4 Valentines challenge.  Please help Linda to reach her target every penny counts.

A little about Hft

We are a national charity, founded in 1962. We championed the idea that adults with learning disabilities and autism have the right to make choices about how they live and how they are supported, to enable them to lead the best life possible. We continue to explore ways to deliver this right for people, every day.2020 was a difficult year for everyone. But for people with learning disabilities and autism, the challenges have been particularly tough. The physical threat is very real - people with learning disabilities and autism are up to 6 times more likely to die from Coronavirus - but so is the impact on their mental health. Changes to routines, increased isolation and confusion about how to stay safe are all causing anxiety and distress. And at a time when they need Hft the most, our staff teams are also at risk.We can’t predict how this will affect us in the long-term, but we know that it will have a long lasting impact. Your support is always important to us, but more so than ever through this time of crisis
