In Memory of Liz Murphy

Thank you for visiting the fundraising page for Many Tears Animal Rescue, in memory of Liz who sadly passed away suddenly on 10th May 2024.

Liz was a kind soul who loved all animals, but especially dogs. She spent countless hours collecting old bedding from people within the community of Port Talbot, then would cut and sew them into sizes suitable for animals, before loading up her car and delivering them to the rescue centre. She also crochet little jumpers for many dogs in the shelter during the winter and enjoyed spending time with them to help get them used to being around people and taking them on walks. She had a particular fondness for the old, sick dogs that often spent long periods in rescues due to lack of interest and also fostered an old dog, so that they spent their last years in comfort. Liz had a genuinely warm heart and was taken from us much sooner than she should have, at 62 years old.

Liz enjoyed many happy hours helping out at Many Tears Rescue, which is why we have chosen them to receive donations in her memory.
