Locust Review INFLATION Fundraiser!!!

We are the Locust Arts and Letters Collective (LALC). We publish the Locust Review journal and its theory annual, Imago, and produce the almost monthly Locust Radio podcast -- among other things. Thank all of y'all for your support over the past two-three years. We're mostly working-class and precarious socialist artists with day jobs, and the Locust project has always been a shoestring operation. But over the past year, inflation has hit our production costs. Everything has increased in price, while our subscriber base and patronage have slightly declined. The cost of our websites has increased, as has the cost of printing and shipping.

So we are inaugurating the first annual "Locust Review INFLATION Fundraiser" to ensure there is no interruption in our projects and to make ends meet (or come closer to meeting) at the end of the year. We've always subsidized Locust a little bit from our own pockets. But the problems above make it much harder for us to do so.

Over the past three years, we've put out eight issues of Locust Review, bringing irrealism and working-class poetry, art and stories to hundreds of people worldwide. We've released seventeen free episodes of Locust Radio and just as many exclusively for our patrons. We released our theory annual Imago last year and are putting together this year's issue of Imago right now, along with Locust Review #9. Regardless of how the fundraiser goes, we will keep on keeping on with this project.
