Business Purpose: Because of Covid-19, many people have asked to help us, and so we created this GoFundMe page as a way for people to help.
We opened this business in October, 2013. For the last 7 years, Lili has worked hard to be a go to spot for an affordable massage and relaxation. A place that upon leaving you feel a little more alive, energetic, renewed, and refreshed...through nail-biting finals exams, chronic lower back pain, brutal workouts and stressful workdays—-and we want to keep serving you!
COVID-19 has hit our business hard since New York went on pause and many New Yorkers began spending most of their time at home to keep themselves and our communities safe and healthy, and so we've been receiving fewer and fewer customers in the store for a massage. Determined nevertheless, we have retrofitted the store to continue providing safe massage - installed UV lights, HEPA filters, and built plexiglass barriers (e.g.,). But our work cannot happen without people visiting the store. Massage is one of those services that has no digital alternative. There is no substitute for physical touch.
So we're asking you to help us get through the next few months. We need your help to keep the store open. No amount is too small. All proceeds will go toward rent and keeping the lights on.
