Humanitarian Support For Ibrahim and his Family

Hello, my name is Mahmoud Almassri. I am a Palestinian from Gaza, currently working towards my PhD at Heriot-Watt University. I am managing this campaign on behalf of my family and my brother, Ibrahim, who was injured in the war and faces death and danger daily in Gaza.
Ibrahim, an ambitious computer engineering student, has seen his dreams shattered as his university, The Islamic University of Gaza (IUG), along with all other universities in Gaza, have been bombarded and destroyed.
Our family has endured unimaginable hardships and suffering, including the loss of my other brother, Mohammed, who was killed in the war, and the destruction of our family home. With seven siblings and our parents living in harsh conditions in refugee centers not equipped to provide for basic human needs, Ibrahim's desire to continue his education abroad is not just a pathway to personal achievement but a lifeline for our entire family.
Ibrahim had just started his fourth year (out of five) of his bachelor's degree in computer engineering when the war turned our lives upside down. Now, trapped in Gaza without access to sufficient basic humanitarian needs or safety, Ibrahim faces the threat of death and the destruction of his academic and professional future.
Facing the impossibility of continuing his education locally, Ibrahim now confronts another daunting barrier: the financial challenge of leaving Gaza to continue his education abroad. The Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt was seized and closed by Israel in May 2024, making it currently impossible for him or anyone else to leave Gaza. However, I am striving to collect funds so he can leave as soon as an opportunity arises.
This campaign aims to raise funds to support Ibrahim's travel and university registration expenses abroad, as well as to help our family survive during the war. Our family has been displaced about eight times and has lost almost all of their belongings with each displacement.
We are immensely grateful for any support you can provide, as it represents a beacon of hope amidst the darkness. Thank you for believing in Ibrahim and our family.
