Shortly before ABC7 aired our story on the news we discovered that our tiny house was listed for sale online. We contacted the website owner and he said that Mike Bedsole of Tiny House Chattanooga asked him to sell the house for him. (See image below)

Our Tiny House is MISSING!! Our house has been missing since March when the builder DISAPPEARED with our house after we were on the tv show Tiny House Nation.
We are raising money to pay for a lawyer to track down our house and the builder, and prosecute to get our house back.
We haven't be able to get in contact with our builder in months and on Wednesday we got a call saying that our tiny house is online and being given away as part of a competition!!
After filming the tv show Tiny House Nation we had to take the house back to the builders workshop as we found out the house was not completed and had issues. We lived in our tiny house for 5 months waiting for it to be completed, always getting run-around, and lots of strangeness. It was a nightmare - living on a construction site in the middle of nowhere with young kids, 3 hours outside of Nashville.
In March the owner of the property at 2150 Blythe Ave (the construction site) said that Tiny House Chattanooga (the builder) was being evicted from the property, as they had not paid rent for many months. The property owner said we needed to move our house off the property, as he was going to lease the property to a new business.
The property was NEXT TO A JAIL!!
We couldn't leave our house for long periods as we did not feel it was safe. We also experienced a break-in one night. Fortunately Rebecah heard the noise and called out. When we came downstairs the back door (which latches shut very tightly) was left wide open! The builder tried to convince us that it was "wind" that blew it open.
We were preparing our tiny house to be moved off the property, and the builder wouldn’t communicate with us about what was happening and the plans for finishing our house, and then the builder (Tiny House Chattanooga) illegally moved our tiny house off the property!!!
One day our house was there. The next day it was gone!! The property owner confirmed that the builder had taken our house.
(the photo below shows him towing the other tiny house that was on the property off when he was evicted)
We had already packed our personal belongings in preparation of moving our house up to Nashville, but we still had 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of materials and items in the tiny house when it was taken.
We were in total shock. Everything in life was turned upside down. We’d spent a year working on our plan to go tiny and move to Nashville, and now our house was gone. All we could do was put our personal items in storage, then drive back to California with a few suitcases strapped to our Prius.
We have been trying to contact Tiny House Chattanooga since March to recover our house, our money and all of the materials we own in the house. It has been heartbreaking.
We’ve since learned that other clients have reported paying deposits and not hearing back from the builder etc. Better Business Bureau shows a D+ rating.
The only communication we’ve had regarding possession of our tiny house was on May 8th (the day our episode of Tiny House Nation aired), from the builder’s lender at Koala Financial Group (KFG) who said Tiny House Chattanooga is “officially” prepared to sell us our house back. Tiny House Chattanooga has been claiming they will give our tiny house back for $157,000 !!!
This week we see our tiny house is being given away as part of a competition!! The photos used to promote the competition were taken by an employee of Tiny House Chattanooga the day after shooting Tiny House Nation.
Please help our family get our tiny house back!
