Monona Bakery-Help With Expenses During Quarantine

Beyond wonderful food and great service, our family has enjoyed the gifts of conversation and friendship during our many visits to the Monona Bakery. If you are a regular visitor to the restaurant, you have undoubtedly experienced the same.

You also are well-aware of the work ethic and dedication that are essential ingredients to the success of this truly "family owned and operated" business. Father, Vicente, mother, Claudia, and daughters Wendy and Claudia make up the backbone of the small but dedicated staff.

As you may be aware, Covid illness has required the family to temporarily close the business and quarantine for at least two weeks.

I appreciate the transparent manner in which the restaurant shared important details, and then took the steps necessary to keep themselves and customers healthy.

As we all know, businesses are suffering in general during Covid. Claudia and Vicente and staff/family have, with nary a complaint, been adapting as well as they can, staying closed when necessary, adopting socially-distanced dining when possible, and providing their customers with take-out service.

I'm sure that needing to close completely for a number of weeks will make it even more difficult to cover the expenses of their business.

My family would like to support Monona Bakery in order to ease the burden in at least a small way. I invite you to consider doing the same if you are able. I know that all of us want to see Claudia, Vicente and family again, as soon as possible, back doing what they love and do best.

My wife will be craving her "tacos al pastor," my daughter looks forward to mac and cheese, and I can't wait for my next plate of "enchiladas verdes."
