Thank you for joining The Chrises (qwtchrises.com) as we embark to raise funds for both our program and a non-profit close to our hearts, Okizu (okizu.org) . We are on a mission to garner love in exchange for something that has supported us throughout the years.
Christopher Joe's (@ay_cjay) hair has been a staple of his identity. As it has grown in length, he has grown in depth as a human being. The hair has been an integral part of his journey for self love and care. Inspired by his "balding" cohort, Christopher Gardinier (@christophergardinier), Christopher Joe has agreed to part with his Samsonite hair in exchange for the greater good.
A close friend overcame childhood cancer and Camp Okizu played a large part in that for both him and his family. Okizu had a positive influence on his ability to build connections, foster relationships, and feel like a normal kid. We are forever grateful to Okizu and the amazing amount of joy it continues to bring into the lives of so many.
The money raised will be evenly split 50/50 between:
1) Supporting the longevity of Quarantining With The Chrises
The Chrises look to sustain the program to continue to bring joy, humor, and good through the quarantine and beyond! Your donation will ensure that happiness is continued to be spread beyond our online community, as we continue to strive to grow our reach. The Chrises appreciate you being on the ground floor of our movement to bring positivity and joy to this world!
2) Supporting the continued mission of Okizu
Okizu seeks to help all members of families affected by childhood cancer to heal through peer support, respite, mentoring, and recreational programs. The primary operation is Camp Okizu, a Northern California Oncology Camp for bereaved teenagers and young adults, which serves more than 3,500 people each year.
100 FOR 100 CAMPAIGN
All money raised for Okizu through the month of September will be matched with Okizu's 100 for 100 campaign. Join us for an opportunity to fundraise for Okizu and double your impact.
