Nurse Critically Affected by COVID-19

In the middle of Nurses week we need to help one of our own! She wanted to be kept anonymous, as she is wanting to keep some sort of privacy. This is her story:
She is a wonderful Nurse, starting her nursing career in the middle of a pandemic. She is in her 20s and working on a CoVid-19 unit in London, Ontario.
Now unfortunately, she is not caring for your family but making the unthinkable decisions for her whole entire family.
Both of her parents (age 50s) and her brother (age 20s), who are all front-line workers, have contracted the CoVid-19 virus. They could not work from home, they had to go to work so that all of our community could have food on our tables. One of them was working in an outbreak facility! Not only is she having to isolate at home due to exposure, she is not getting paid, as Nurses do not get paid for exposures. She will also be needing to take time off to manage this new added responsibility, as she is now home alone trying to pay the bills, mortgage and also making medical decisions for her family. Both mom and brother are in the Intensive Care Unit. Her mother is being vented through a tracheostomy and her brother is also on a breathing machine with Chest tubes into his lungs. Her father has come out of Intensive Care Unit and is still on the CoVid – Unit after suffering a heart attack. This could be one of our family’s. THIS IS OUR FAMILY! This is the only way we can think to help. Please help spread the word and so that she can get back to making the unthinkable decisions that we all know we wouldn’t want to make.
All fund raised will go directly to support the family and medical care they may need after getting home. ANY donation big or small is graciously appreciated.
