The Back-to-School Drive will be conducted over five days in five different locations across NYC to provide students with essential school supplies for the 2020 - 2021 academic year. Such items will include backpacks, pencils/pens, notebooks, loose leaf, books, wired headphones, etc.
The back-to-school season comes with a lot of expenses for parents/guardians. The financial impact of COVID-19 has devastated members of low-income communities. This back-to-school drive will help alleviate the financial burden for low-income families when it comes to back to school shopping.
Whether scholars are continuing remote learning or returning to their school buildings in the fall, we want to ensure that each and every scholar is equipped with the necessary supplies to be prepared for the school year. Our goal is to provide at least 500 students throughout New York City with school supplies for the upcoming 2020 - 2021 academic year.
