Team Parker Stands Up to Cancer

In the summer of 2017, friends and family rallied around then-4-year-old Parker Watson, who had just been diagnosed with Pre Bcell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Since then, he has undergone countless blood draws, two bone marrow biopsies, multiple blood transfusions, lumbar punctures and years of chemotherapy.

Now a bright and delightful 7-year-old, Parker is, thankfully, in remission. But the fight isn’t over. His chemotherapy treatment continues. Parker has had countless stays in the hospital and some weeks it’s not safe for him to attend school because of his compromised immune system.

Parker’s parents, Michelle and Mike Watson, have been there for Parker every step of the way. Friends of the Watsons are putting on fundraising events in March 2020 —in cities including Boston, Los Angeles and Charleston—to help the family alleviate the financial burden of battling childhood cancer.
