On December 4, 2025, our beloved Pedro Durazo passed away after an unimaginably difficult battle with a rare form of T-cell lymphoma called Mycosis Fungoides. His passing has left a profound ache in the hearts of all who knew him.
Pedro's health took a sudden and devastating turn in May 2025. What began as confusion, memory loss, and partial paralysis quickly escalated. Within days, he became fully paralyzed and unable to eat or swallow. Doctors soon discovered a large, inoperable brain tumor caused by a second type of lymphoma.
Despite the severity of the condition, Pedro fought with a strength that amazed everyone around him. He underwent alternating rounds of chemotherapy and physical therapy, and his family held onto hope as they saw small signs of progress. Since May 16th, Pedro was continuously hospitalized, moving between emergency rooms, neurology and oncology wards, and rehabilitation centers.
Throughout this entire journey, his wife Megan remained steadfast by his side. She became his full time advocate, caregiver, and constant source of comfort. Her devotion never wavered.
Ultimately, after enduring months of intense treatments, Pedro made the courageous decision to return home and spend his final days surrounded by his family and love.
Pedro was a devoted husband and the loving father of five. He dedicated his life to serving others as a retired Senior U.S. Probation Officer, youth wrestling coach, and a steady source of support and kindness in his community. His courage, positivity, and gratitude never faltered, even in the most difficult moments. And for those lucky enough to receive one of his text messages, his love for emojis was unmistakable.
Now it's our turn to support the family who supported him.
Your donations will help cover unpaid medical bills and provide stability for his family as they navigate life without him. Every contribution -big or small-makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for honoring Pedro's memory, for showing him he was never alone, and for helping ensure that the family he cherished is cared for. His strength, compassion, and service touched more lives than he ever realized.
