BR Answer the Call: With the outbreak of the coronavirus, there are so many lives and businesses that have been touched and negatively impacted by this pandemic. As Governor Edwards stated recently, "with our health care workers on the front lines of this fight against COVID-19, we owe them a huge debt of gratitude. They are delivering critical care to our people while working long hours under stressful conditions and making great sacrifices, which should not be lost on anyone."
With this in mind, we are calling upon YOU, our Baton Rouge community, to help us put our plan into action. Our plan is two fold: (1) to show appreciation and support to health care workers by providing free meals that are CDC compliant, and (2) to stimulate the economy by helping our local restaurants.
How can we do this? We are asking BR to ANSWER THE CALL by making a monetary donation (no matter how big or small). These donations will provide appreciation meals to hospitals and help our local restaurants that are in much need of business.

Funds Raised: Organizer Shannon Hultberg has set up a bank account in the name of BR Answer the Call. She will be the only person to withdraw funds once available by GoFundMe to pay the local restaurants for the meals. Meals will be scheduled by the organizers and the hospital representative. Once set up, Shannon will pay the local restaurant and have meals delivered to the medical facility for healthcare workers that have patients with the cornavirus.
Shannon and Kathryn also went a step further and set up a non-profit through the State of Louisiana so that all donations are 100% tax deductible. The EIN number will be provided to each donor in a thank you email.
