Raise awareness for Recovery -stop the drug deaths

Dumfries & Galloway Recovery Together (DGRT) work on a Recovery Communities model which is now established in D&G . We are a peer-led Recovery support group with face to face weekly groups held across Dumfries and Galloway in Annan, Dumfries, Castle Douglas, Newton Stewart , Stranraer & Upper Nithsdale. We also hold a weekly online meeting for all our members to participate in regardless of where they are based. Our groups are supported currently by the ADP (Alcohol and Drug Partnership) and we have a Co-ordinator and Worker to support our development and also look at training opportunities and capacity building for individuals.

We provide support to males and females of varying ages who are at different stages of their recovery from addictions such as gambling, alcoholism and drug addiction, prescription addiction etc.

Our Recovery groups are having a really positive effect on individuals, groups & families who are struggling in isolation with their recovery from addiction as well as having strategic input too in terms of having a lived experience voice for decsion making for services for the future.
