Rare flesh eating disease changed our lives

I'm raising money for Anthony (Todd) Birkbeck, the day before NYE Todd's life changed forever I had taken him to hospital because he was dehydrated and was concerned about a weird lump/rash spreading from his groin down his leg. Our ED wait wasn't long surprisingly and the dr doing the rounds came by and had a look he initially thought it was an abscess that would need surgery to be drained so he got the surgeon to come and take a look and the surgeon said he wanted to have a look at it via CT so off Todd went to the CT it didn't take long for the surgeon to come back in and say we're taking you into surgery now you have a rare flesh eating disease called necrotising fasciitis and we need to remove all the dead tissue from your groin.

Todd went into surgery at 2am NYE and surgery took 3 hours to remove all the dead tissue and bacteria.

With the wound being an open wound and the area it is located Todd is looking at a minimum of 1 month off work possibly longer as his job requires heavy lifting. This means we only have my seasonal work income to fall back onto during this time period to pay our mortgage and utility bills as we have no savings.
