Help Kemmerer Farm After the Devastating Fire
Donation protected
This is one of 2 GoFundMe fundraisers that is happening for the Kemmerer family. All proceeds are being deposited directly into the Kemmerer’s bank.
John Kemmerer and his family have been woven into foundational fabric of our community for decades. For over 100 years, the Kemmerer's have worked their 100 acre farm, a bedrock of our agricultural heritage here in Stanford and the surrounding communities. Emily Hay, John's daughter, formed the Centennial Farm Foundation to help save other centennial farms, who had suffered through the hardships and challenges of farming these days. On July 18th, everything changed for the Kemmerer family.
This past Thursday, a massive fire broke out and devastated their farm. They lost two barns, all of their trucks and tractors, equipment, and their office right in the middle of this farming season. We are aiming to raise $100,000 that will immediately go to John’s family in this time of need. It may take months to sort through all of the losses that the family has incurred, and they will need immediate aid to get them through this growing season.
Now is the moment we can come together as a community and give back to this remarkable family. Please consider donating funds to help rebuild this incredible farm, donating goods that will go to a future auction (details forthcoming), or help us spread the work.
Together we can ease the burden of this terrible event for the Kemmerer’s.
