Upgrade of Potten End Playground

 

 

We need your help!

 

Please help us to replace our existing dated playground.  We need new fun, innovative equipment that will excite and challenge our 21st century children of all ages and abilities . 

 

Our local play is an essential part of the village and a social hub for parents and children .

 

The existing equipment is over 40 years old and corrosion is beginning to affect many of the metal posts , so with safety in mind replacement is essential.  

 

Many of you have responded to our request for suggestions and where we can these have been incorporated in the proposed new layout which will encourage imaginative and adventure play while challenging strength and agility . The two most frequent requests were for play equipment for younger children and children with disabilities so we have included these in our proposed design .

 

We have had three proposals and quotes from specialist playground companies and have decided on a scheme using natural timbers that are more aesthetically pleasing and offers the best mix of equipment for all ages and abilities .

 

We need to raise £48,000 to bring this project to life . But we need your help . We have been successful in securing grants totalling £31,000 which leaves a balance of £17,000 to be raised through crowdfunding and donations . If we do manage to raise more than this we will be able to add more exciting play equipment to the plan .

 

We really hope you will support us to create this amazing play space which the village can be proud of and the children will love for many years to come .
