Ricardo Needs Your Help for Transplants

Hello, first of all, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this.

My name is Ricardo, and I am currently 31 years old. At the age of 23, I was diagnosed with Lupus, an autoimmune disease. This disease attacks healthy cells and tissues by mistake. This attack causes inflammation. It can also damage many parts of the body, including joints, skin, kidneys, heart, lungs, blood vessels, and the brain. This altogether has caused me to have renal failure, which attacked my kidneys, and I have been surviving for 8 years thanks to hemodialysis. These are performed 3 times a week for 5 hours, which causes them to be very heavy for me, to the extent that it reaches extreme fatigue and affects my physical and mental state.

Approximately 1 year ago, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver. I have to make it known that I do not drink alcohol, but these are complications that have arisen due to the disease.

A few months ago, I was given the opportunity to try to get on the waiting list at the hospital to get 2 transplants, which are kidney and liver, but for that, they have asked me for several requirements.

I would like to ask for your help since I do not have the possibility to complete it alone, and neither does my family. We are doing everything in our hands we can do, but we still have a long way to go to reach that goal.

I am very embarrassed to ask for your help, and yes, the help I need is financial because, in order to get on the list, I need to complete or raise a certain amount of money. That amount of money is for lodging and to be able to subsist the months that they ask me to be living near the hospital where the surgery would take place. This place is 4 hours away from my home, and due to emergency situations, I am not allowed to live so far away from the hospital for some months.

Hola, antes que nada quiero agradecerles por el tiempo que se han dado para leer esto.

Mi nombre es Ricardo y en la actualidad tengo 31 años. A la edad de 23 años fui diagnosticado con Lupus, una enfermedad autoinmune. Esta enfermedad ataca las células y tejidos sanos por error. Este ataque causa inflamación. También puede dañar muchas partes del cuerpo incluyendo: las articulaciones, piel, riñones, corazón, pulmones, vasos sanguíneos y el cerebro. Esto en conjunto me ha causado Falla Renal, el cual, atacó mis riñones y llevo 8 años sobreviviendo gracias a las Hemodiálisis. Estas son realizadas cada 3 veces a la semana durante 5 horas, lo que provoca que sean muy pesadas para mí, al grado de que llega al cansancio extremo y repercute en mi estado tanto físico como mental.

Hace 1 año aproximadamente me detectaron cirrosis en el hígado. Tengo que dar a saber que yo no bebo alcohol pero son complicaciones que se han dado base a la enfermedad.

Hace unos meses me han dado la oportunidad de intentar entrar a la lista de espera en el hospital para obtener 2 trasplantes, las cuales son de Riñon e Hígado, pero para eso me han pedido varios requisitos.

Me gustaría pedir su ayuda ya que en mis manos yo no tengo la posibilidad de completarlo solo y mi familia tampoco. Hacemos todo lo que esta a nuestro alcance pero aún nos falta mucho para llegar a esa meta.

Me da muchísima pena pedir su ayuda, y sí, esa ayuda que necesito es económica, ya que, para poder entrar en la lista necesito completar o juntar cierta cantidad de dinero. Esa cantidad de dinero es para los hospedajes y para poder subsistir los meses que me piden que este viviendo cerca del hospital de donde se llevaría la cirugía. Este lugar queda a 4 horas de mí casa y por situaciones de emergencia me prohíben vivir tan lejos del hospital por algunos meses.
