Ridgefield Odyssey of the Mind State Champions!

Our Ridgefield Middle School Team took 1st place at the CT state Odyssey of the Mind tournament on March 16, 2024! We have qualified to go to the World Championships in Iowa May 21-24! We need your help to get us there. It takes a lot of money to send 6 middle school kids (plus chaperones) to the Midwest. The money you donate will help us pay for flights, meals, transportation, and shipping our props and sets.

Odyssey of the Mind (OM) is an international creative problem solving competition for students. We are given two types of problems, a long-term problem and a spontaneous problem. The more creative we are at solving these problems, the more points we get. We must work together as a team and without help from our parents. We have spent countless hours over the past 6 months, training and practicing for the competition and are very excited to represent Connecticut.

We would love the chance to attend the OM World Finals in Iowa and join hundreds of other winning teams from nearly every US state and up to 30 countries to compete in what is often described as the “Olympics of Creativity”. It will be a life-changing experience that we will remember for the rest of our lives. Any financial support you can provide our team would be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps. Thank you!
