Support the Salmonese Twins

Donation protected
The Salmonese Twins have quite an incredible story about how they entered this world and what they had to overcome to survive. We are looking to raise enough for uncovered medical bills. I will also donate 10% of the proceeds to Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation (http://www.tttsfoundation.org/) and 10% to the Winthrop Hospital NICU. Thank you in advance for giving to my boys and supporting their wellbeing. And also for contributing to the doctors and nurses at Winthrop Hospital that helped them thrive and the foundation that researches the science behind the surgery that saved their lives. •—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—• Here’s our story the way I wrote it when I was 23 weeks pregnant, not knowing if they would survive: Good Friday 2020. I imagine Jesus’ immense suffering, and it gives me strength to get through this, no matter how grim my situation may be. “Darkness is only temporary, rebirth and renewal are coming.” This pregnancy has pushed me to the edge, and the only way I know how to cope is through my faith. ✝️ At week 13, A subchorionic hematoma hemorrhaged causing heavy bleeding. Week 18, I was told my babies had stage 3 Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome and a 10% chance to live without surgical intervention. The next day, I was in the OR for what felt like a 5 hour TTTS Laser Ablation Surgery, a rare surgery of the placenta. During the surgery, my doctor realized that the subchorionic hematoma which had hemorrhaged weeks prior had made my amniotic fluid way too murky to operate. He had made the decision to drain all of my amniotic fluid extremely slowly and simultaneously replace it with clear fluids in an attempt to save the surgery without the babies going into shock. It worked and he was able to see and complete the surgery. At 20 weeks, Preterm premature rupture of membranes (water broke.) By the sheer Grace of God I am now 23 weeks pregnant with my 2 miracle baby fighters with little to no fluid around them. Soon I leave my family, my daughter to live in Winthrop Hospital amid a global pandemic not knowing when or if visitors will ever be let in, but if there is any silver lining in being admitted at 24 weeks it is that my boys will be considered viable and able to go in the NICU. God is by my side, and will never leave me, no matter what happens. I will always have faith in Him and believe everything He does is for a reason. ✝️Philippians 4:6-7 ✝️ “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” •—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—• I started having contractions at 28 weeks and began my inpatient stay at Winthrop Hospital. I spent 4 weeks there when doctors had found poor blood flow to one of my twins and decided to take them at 31 weeks. I was grateful I made it 11 weeks after my water had broken, an incredible testament to how powerful God is. •—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—• On Friday June 5, 2020 we welcomed our sons, Vince Joseph Salmonese 4lbs 1oz 17.5 inches tall and Paul Nicholas Salmonese 2lbs 9oz 15 inches tall both born at 3:26pm at 31 weeks gestation. •—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—••—• We are so grateful for all the prayers and support we have been receiving and hope our story inspires you to dream big, even if that dream seems impossible, God’s grace and power is absolutely amazing. Trust in Him, always. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
