Sammie's Voice
Donation protected
Sammie uses his singing voice to sing praises to God, though he has suffered various challenges in recent years including homelessness. In late 2019, Sammie was able to get off the streets and into an apartment in a safe neighborhood. However, since being diagnosed with prostate cancer and Type 2 diabetes, Sammie has been limited in his ability to work. Various churches and faith-based organizations have aided Sammie with food, money for bills, and even a car for a few weeks. However, the car recently broke down with major engine trouble and had to be sold as junk. Therefore, Sammie is again afoot and depending on friends and church family for rides to work as a bell-ringer with the Salvation Army at the Benbrook Wal-Mart.
This short-term opportunity with the Salvation Army has enabled Sammie to buy some much-needed personal items and catch up on bills. However, the job ends at Christmas, and Sammie still needs a way to become self-sufficient financially including transportation and equipment to establish an online voice/music-coaching business.
During this time of pandemic concerns and personal loss, Sammie has lifted the spirits of many people with his singing of hymns and Christmas songs. Please consider donating to the “Sammie’s Voice” Go Fund Me account today.
Accountability: At Sammie’s request, funds donated to the “Sammie’s Voice” Go Fund Me account will be overseen and managed on Sammie’s behalf by three selected elders from the Lake Cities Church of Christ in Trophy Club, Texas, where Sammie is a member.
