Serving Smiles (Operation Smile)

We are bringing Operation Smile’s global spirit of service to our communities with our newest pilot program, Serving Smiles.

To show some love for our health-care workers and restaurateurs, student volunteers in Virginia Beach and beyond are rallying their neighbors and providing locally-prepared meals for staff members at hospitals in their hometowns — all while social distancing, wearing masks and taking every appropriate precaution as recommended by officials.

MALIBU HIGH SCHOOL'S CLUB IS THE FIRST CLUB ON THE WEST COAST to participate in Serving Smiles! We are working with Spruzzo's restaurant and UCLA Medical Center and Cedars Hospital, bringing these frontline healthworkers delicious food made and delivered with love. We need to raise about $250 per hospital per week to keep this going, so every little bit helps.

It’s a win-win-win: Local students supporting local restaurants supporting local hospital workers.
