Head Shave for Macmillan Cancer Support!

I’ve finally decided I’m going to... BRAVE THE SHAVE! On Wednesday 13th November 2019, at 1pm. Yes, that means I’ll be cutting off all my hair, and shaving it down to a barbers no.4 clipper head! (it’s coming up to winter & I don’t want a cold pale head haha!) but short enough that it’s life changing for me.
Bit about me: I’ve always had hair past my shoulders, and at the moment it even passes the bottom of my shoulder blades. (Never thought it would reach that length with all the bleach and colours I’ve put in!) And as much as I love my hair, I feel like doing something crazy and meaningful like this will hopefully encourage people to donate towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
Now about Macmillan: they are a very special charity to me. Why? Because they’ve looked after my Grandad Norman Swain, a proud, strong and brave man, for the last few years. And are doing an especially fantastic job at the moment in his hardest times. I can’t thank them enough for the work they have done and support they have given to my Grandad & family.
The thing is, Cancer affects 1 in 3 people. That’s a lot of people that Macmillan are trying to support and care for in what I can only describe as one of the most traumatic, difficult and devastating times in a persons life, and in more unfortunate cases, cancer means that person has lost their battle, and Macmillan are helping the family through their struggles, to try and help pick up the pieces.
So to summarise my long description, I’m shaving off my long crazy pink hair on Wednesday 13th November 2019, at 1pm in hope to raise as much as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support.
