March 2023
So on Friday 3rd March (yeap this Friday coming)

There is a charity football match raising money for our Pay It Forward Scheme.

One of my stroke survivors Ken Bull wanted to raise money for for us I'm some way. He loves his football and has always coached. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

So he has put a team together to play against the parents side I play for (which we only play to raise money)

I'm truly grateful for Ken wanting to do this and Heybridge Swifts Youth FC for helping us to put this on.

If you would like to come to watch, than please do, kick off is at 8pm. There will be a raffle (if anyone wants to donate a raffle prize please send me a message, I'll be sure to mention your business) and disco after so all are welcome. Also with a bar and food too!!

For any information on directions please send us a message

If you can't make but want to help us raise money to help other people who can't afford our services, you can donate to our Pay It Forward Scheme

Look forward to seeing anyone that comes and supports us.

I will try and get a video of the game or at least highlights.

Once again thank you for your support.

2022
3 years ago I came up with this hairbrain idea, but let me start from the begining on how this started.

I was a fitness trainer on a retreat in Spain, one of the challenges was to take the guests up La Conche, which is a mountain in Spain, this is just shy of the height of Snowdon, it was tough but the views at the summit were incredible, what an achievement this was.

This got me interested in hikikng and Ive always wante to do the 3 Peaks Challenge.

Now my job and what I love doing is rehabilitating people to change their lives for the better, so as a Neuro Rehabilitation Trainer I get to do this everyday

So.... this is where my idea came in. What if I do the 3 peaks, but on the last mountain, Snowdon. I challenge 5 of my stroke survivors to get to the summit.

Climbing Snowdon as a Stroke Survivor is a massive undertaking that will test and confirm the strength of those involved. It will require all their enthusiasm and a dash of determination to ensure what will be an incredibly rewarding day. This challenge is set in stages with the ultimate goal to achieve 1085m above sea level. Snowdon is the highest mountain in England and Wales, and offers the most spectacular panoramic views stretching across the Snowdonia National Park and beyond.

Well here it is 5 of them have agreed, they now have a 20 week strict training plan to complete to help them to the top.

I'm setting this up to raise money to help others in their rehabilitation that they may not be able to afford rehabilitation to start their recovery journey and change their lives and as we know our health care system has limitations.
