Sonia Annalee Miss NY Teen & Center For Youth

Dear friends, My name is Sonia Annalee and I am a sixteen year old junior in high school, living in upstate New York. I am passionate about being a voice for positive change in the lives of children and teens in need, and this will be my platform when I compete this August for the title of National American Miss New York Teen 2020. I am currently working with The Center For Youth through my pageant platform to spread awareness for all the amazing work they do, and to participate in their efforts. This summer, I am volunteering at one of The Center For Youth Crisis Nurseries to take care of children in need of a place to stay during family emergencies, and also as a teen juror in The Center For Youth Teen Court, helping to decide consequences for non-violent teen offenders in my city. National American Miss is not a beauty pageant, but a pageant focused on teaching life skills and confidence building for young, empowered women. I’m raising money for my sponsorship fee, and all money raised past my goal I will donate directly to my home city of Rochester’s The Center For Youth. I have already donated thousands of dollars to them by selling tickets to Rochester Fashion Week 2019. Now, with your help, I can use my pageant platform to give back more. This amazing organization will use your donations for programs to help underprivileged children of all ages by providing counseling, education, housing, and food for homeless and starving kids, especially during this pandemic.
