Sponsor us in the London Marathon to adapt Lou's Wheelchair!

Hi, I’m Lou, and my siblings Christian, Flick, and I are taking on the London Marathon, on the 26th of April 2025, to raise money to adapt my wheelchair.
This challenge is close to my heart, as I’ll be completing it in my normal day-to-day wheelchair, rather than a specialized racing chair. It’s a huge undertaking, so Christian and Flick will be running alongside me during the marathon, providing the support I need to make it to the finish line. We’re truly in this together as siblings, taking on one of the biggest challenges we’ve ever faced as a team.
2024 was an incredibly tough year for my physical health, with a significant decline that made me a wheelchair user. However, my wheelchair isn’t a tragedy or something to pity- it’s my independence, my freedom. It allows me to move through the world on my own terms and take on massive physical challenges like this marathon. My wheelchair is not a symbol of limitation, it’s a tool that empowers me to embrace life fully.
That said, my wheelchair isn’t currently equipped for the demands of long distances, challenging terrains, or my specific physical needs. Adapting it with a power-assistance device would be transformative. It would reduce the strain on my joints, make daily activities more manageable, and give me the freedom to keep pursuing my goals, from exploring new places to tackling even bigger challenges in the future.
All of the funds raised sponsoring us in the London Marathon will go toward adapting my chair, helping me stay active, independent, and ready to take on new challenges.
Thank you for supporting us and helping me embrace this milestone and continue showing what’s possible in my wheelchair!

We are absolutely thrilled to share that we have already exceeded our initial goal! Any additional funds raised moving forward will be dedicated entirely to enhancing Lou’s mobility and independence through other essential aids and equipment. Your incredible generosity has left us overwhelmed with gratitude, and we cannot wait to show you the profound impact your support will have on Lou’s quality of life. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
