As a friend of the family, it is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the devastating news of Heidi’s passing in the tragic car accident that has shaken our entire community.

Heidi was a bright, beautiful, joy-filled little girl who brought light and love wherever she went. Her absence leaves an unimaginable void in the lives of all who knew and loved her—especially her parents, Liesl and Nathan, and sister, Bonnie.

In the midst of their heartbreak, Liesl and Nathan have expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they've already received. From family, friends, their Church, and the wider community—your prayers, meals, flowers, cards, and shared tears have meant the world to them.

So many of you have asked how else you can help. One of the most tangible and compassionate ways is through financial support. This fund is being set up to help Liesl and Nathan with essential living costs—such as rent, groceries, and bills—but also with practical support like food delivery, cleaning services or anything else that helps relieve the pressure of everyday responsibilities. We are believing that this practical support will be a blessing to them, not only so they don't feel the need to return to work too soon, but allowing space for them to grieve, heal, and be together.
