HI EVERYONE,
Well, we did not meet our financial goal for Harvard, but we went anyway:) Unfortunately our students had to pay a great deal of money to compete, but boy were they successful!!!!
We had 4 Speech finalists, one Congress Finalist,
4 PF teams in the eliminations. 4 of our LDers advanced as did 2 of our Policy Teams. WAY TO GO GUYS!
Last week was our National Debate District Qualifier and we have 2 PF and 1 Policy Team heading off to Birmingham, Alabama in June. The Speech Qualifier is on 3/4 and we may have more team members joining the debaters. That's the good news.
The bad news is we do NOT have the funding to send our amazing team members to TOC's or Nationals. Individual students will not be able to afford the expense of these tournaments. SO
if you weren't able to help us get to Harvard, you still have a chance to help us. Our new campaign STUYVESANT GOES NATIONAL can help these very worthy competitors represent Stuyvesant at the highest level of competition.
