Refugee Rescue - Emergency Supplies

REFUGEE RESCUE -

We are driving  to Lesvos at the end of October in the van with a  stretcher, shoes, clothes and toiletries and WE NEED YOUR HELP! My amazing family friend Ella has been volunteering for REFUGEE RESCUE out in Skala, Lesvos on and off for the past couple of years driving the search and rescue boat Mo'Chara. Reports in recent months from her have become more and more disturbing as the numbers of refugees being pulled from the water have escalated again to similar shocking levels seen back in 2015. Last month they rescued nearly 3000 people from the sea. 1,200 of those were children.
Once the refugees have been safely brought back onto dry land they are given clean dry shoes and clothes before being transported to Moira camp on the other side of the island which is currently 5 times over it's maximum capacity and.
These dry clothes and shoe supplies that are so vital to the new arrivals have been stretched beyond belief recently and are in desperate need of replenishment. Our aim is to try and collect as many of the items needed as possible and to drive out an emergency load of goods in my van at the end of October. The rest of the donations will follow in a container shipment later on. We need your help to do this as we will need funding to get the van over there and so we are asking for your donations please to help pay for the fuel, road tolls, ferries and accommodation en route. Kate and I will do the drive out to Greece where Clara is going to meet us out in Lesvos. The three of us will then spend a week volunteering for Refugee Rescue helping out wherever we can before Clara and I then drive the van home again. 

Please give as little or as much as you can. If we raise more money than we need then ALL the excess will go to Refugee Rescue for them to continue to carry on the life-saving work they do.
