Support Brittany Shue's Battle Against Cancer

Dear Friends of the Shue Family. My name is Joanne Burns. This fundraiser is set up to help this young family offset the costs of medical expenses and the travel for treatments for Brittany Shue and her family.

In March of this year just after her 36th birthday, Brittany started to experience some very out of the ordinary symptoms. Her doctor ordered an ultrasound which showed a 7 cm mass on her uterus. The biopsy confirmed that it was cancer with nodal involvement.

On April 1st Brittany underwent surgery to remove the mass. The pathology was worse than the oncologist and family anticipated and was ultimately diagnosed with Stage 3C1 uterine cancer.

The family sought out a second opinion at Roswell Park Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY. The wonderful staff of doctors and nurses worked with the family on a treatment plan.

Brittany has started a regime of chemotherapy that will run through the end of the summer followed by three long years of immunotherapy and radiation in hopes of reducing her risk of recurrence and/or metastasis.

Her husband Warner said she is the strongest person he knows and has no doubt she will beat this into submission.
