Support for Tammie and Family

Our dear Tammie was suddenly admitted to the ICU on Saturday February 4 2023 with a severe blood infection (strep pneumonia) taking a toll on her body as a whole. This caused septic shock and cardiogenic shock and for her to go into multi organ failure. She also developed disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) with a very rare complication of purpura fulminans (a very painful skin manifestation of DIC).

Her warrior like spirit is fighting hard on this journey to recovery, but it will no doubt require time. This is exceptionally unfortunate as she was so excited that she had finally been feeling well enough to think about going back to work and had just started the process of applying for jobs. She has not been able to work since her Bone Marrow Transplant in July of 2021 - due to a very long recovery with multiple complications post transplant.

Her inability to work has had her paying for insurance costs out of pocket, the hope with starting this fund is that when she wakes up from this nightmare we can tell her that her insurance premiums are covered for awhile so she can fully focus on healing back to the rockstar we know she is.

If you know Tammie you know she would never ask this of you. We might even be on her “naughty” list for starting this but we want to try and find a way to give back to her just a little bit of what she has given to us!
