Keeping Hunter Maytin’s Olympic Ski Dreams Alive

Meet Hunter Maytin-
Growing up across the street from the world-renowned XGames Superpipe at Buttermilk Mountain, Hunter’s passion for freestyle skiing took root at an early age. With the guidance of his coaches at the Aspen Valley Ski Club and the support of his family and our Community, Hunter found his true calling as a halfpipe skier. Now he needs financial help to get to the next level. Hunter’s dream is to represent the United States and Aspen at the Olympics and at Winter XGames. Hunter’s journey has already included experiences, such as forerunning the X Games at 11 years old and placing 5th in halfpipe at the 2024 Youth Olympic Games in South Korea at the age of 15. Hunter’s future is bright and his passion is even brighter.
The Challenge ahead-
The road ahead is challenging. Hunter relies on the financial support of his parents, who work three jobs between them to help fund his dreams. He could not compete without the generosity
of sponsors who provide equipment and tuning. A career in skiing halfpipe is costly. We want Hunter to focus on what he loves to do and is good at and not worry about anything that could hold him back. The annual training, coaching, travel, and lodging expenses amount to more than $60,000. While being a part of the US Ski Team will alleviate some costs, Hunter is not yet there and
needs your support to continue his journey.
How You Can Help?
We are reaching out to our Community for support. Whether you can contribute monetarily or with an item for our silent auction, your contribution will play a vital role in helping Hunter focus
on skiing. Together, we can help turn his dream into a reality.
