Support Needed for My Cat’s Oral Tumor care
Hello everyone! My name is Hannah Velasco. Some of you may already know me from a previous fundraiser, when I asked for help to treat my cat's UTI with a partial urinary blockage.
I am so grateful to everyone who donated. Because of the support we received, my cat was able to recover from his UTI and partial urinary blockage through antibiotics and an improved diet. With people's help in providing information, I was also able to find a more affordable veterinary clinic. I was able to take him to the vet, though my friend initially paid (€60) because of the donations, I was able to pay him back. Through antibiotics, my cat symptoms improved. Though we did encounter some hiccups a week after finishing his antibiotic (had some bloody discharge in his pee) we were able to resolve this by fixing his diet.
Things started to go back to normal, or so we thought. Unfortunately, in the first week of August, he began bleeding from his mouth, drooling excessively, and constantly sticking his tongue out. Since the previous vet was on vacation, I had to take him to a different clinic, AniCura Clinica Veterinaria Sirio, in my hometown in Vicenza. The visit costs €30 (original cost was €60 but we were given a 50% discount).
We found out that my cat has developed a tumor in his mouth. We were told he needs an oncology consultation and a cytology exam with a fine needle aspiration to determine the type of tumor.
AniCura Clinic has provided me these information through a phone call so if you'd like to contact them personally to ask for confirmation about the cost feel free to do

I have tried to ask for a printed version but for some reason they can't give me one. I emailed them too but instead of responding through email they called me back and this is what they said.
The cost of the oncology consultation is €100. The cytology exam was quoted starting at €40, but since my cat may need more than one exam, the price could increase. Sedation costs are estimated between €50 and €80. Overall, the estimate we were given over the phone is €200 if only one cytology exam is needed, and up to €300 if additional cytology exams are required. This estimate only covers the diagnostic process and does not include any treatment costs.
I know my cat doesn't have that much time left. He's 15-16 years old prone to UTIs and now a tumor. I know there's not much I can do except make his life as easy, comfortable and painless through medication until his time comes, at which point we will have to put him to sleep.
I am asking for your help to make this possible.
Any donation would be much appreciated.
