Support SE Michigan Undocumented Families

Support Undocumented Families During the Covid19 Crisis

We are fundraising to support undocumented families in the Metro Detroit area who might find themselves without income to sustain their families during this crisis. Many undocumented families live day to day, and are not eligible for the many safety nets available to U.S. citizens (like unemployment and medicaid).

During these times we want to make sure that undocumented people are not left behind. Our goal is to raise $50,000 and 100% of proceeds will go to undocumented families in Southeast Michigan. Funds for Washtenaw County area families are being administered and collected via a separate initiative by WICIR.

The funds will be donated based on a referral system via religious institutions, non-profit organizations, and community leaders who refer families for support. We are working on finding the most equitable and transparent process to donate the funds. We will follow the lead of undocumented community leaders. For questions email us at [email redacted].

If you are reaching out to make a referral, please DO NOT include names or contact information of undocumented community members in your emails. We will reach out to you for further information.
