Supporting Ashley Howlett - The long journey ahead.

It’s difficult to find the words to write this, but we have to share Ashley’s story because she needs your help. As I write my beautiful niece is being prepped for surgery to amputate part or all of one leg. Every inch of her angelic body is battered, bruised, and broken. Her remaining leg has breathtaking damage. Her organs are struggling to function. Adding to this she has sadly suffered a stroke. Yet, even after all of this, her little heart continues to beat, fighting to stay with us.

Ashley was nearly home, simply walking her cherished Gnocchi, when she was struck by a motorbike speeding recklessly. The impact has changed her life forever, but despite her horrific injuries, she is still here, and we are holding on to hope.

About Ashley - she is the light in everybody's heart.
Ashley is loved deeply by her amazing partner, Shaun, her devoted mum and stepdad, her eight siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She has always given so much of herself to others, working full-time caring for those with disabilities and special needs. Her infectious personality and endless compassion have touched so many lives, and it’s impossible to understand why someone so selfless and loving would have to endure this.

This is not just a plea for help; it’s a call to anyone who knows the power of love, community, and resilience. Ashley's road to recovery will be long and painful. She faces more surgeries, months in the hospital, and a lifetime of challenges as she heals from these life-altering injuries. Right now, she remains in critical condition in the ICU, but she is not alone—her loved ones are by her side, offering every bit of support they can.

We are asking for your help to ease the financial burden this tragedy has placed on Ashley and her family. Your donations will go towards her ongoing medical treatments, rehabilitation, and to support Ashley's continued quality of life in the future. No amount is too small—anything you can spare will make a difference.

Please, if you can, donate to help Ashley through the long and difficult journey ahead. Our family will be forever grateful for your kindness and generosity.

Forever grateful,
Ashleys Village of Love xx
