Last week, my daughter Kallista Flores fell extremely ill. After suffering from a fever and feeling very week, Kallista was rushed to the hospital with a 105.3 fever. The local hospital transferred her to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick where they performed numerous tests, including a bone marrow biopsy. The doctors determined Kallista had pneumonia and was also diagnosed 11 year old with B-ALL Leukemia. She already had her first round of chemotherapy. Kallista is currently at Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital in New Brunswick. She will be in the hospital for the next month. The road ahead for Kallista and her family will be long and treacherous. For the next 2 and a half years, Kallista will be receiving treatment. As one could imagine, the financial burden will be rough. Kallista's parents Wolf & Jodi live an hour away from this hospital. This will be a hard couple of years but everyone's generosity will be greatly appreciated. No parent, no family, and no child should have to go through this but with everyone's support the journey will be a little easier. Please help my daughter Kallista. We wanna see her cancer free. Thank you.
