Tharel Thompson stabbing in Reading

Hello, my name is Yvonne Thompson and I am fundraising for my Son Tharel Thompson, who has been in a critical condition in hospital (placed in a coma) and continues to be hospitalised.

Tharel is a Barbados National who came over on holiday to the UK in February to spend time with family in Reading. In the early hours of Sunday 11 February 2024, whilst out with family, Tharel was attacked in a bar in Reading Berkshire and stabbed in the head. Tharel was in a critical condition in hospital following two head surgeries, with a third still to take place.

So far his medical bill including rehabilitation and therapy is in excess of £180,000 and is ongoing. I have flown over from Barbados and I am incurring accommodation and living costs daily to support myself and Tharel, and this also is rising.

Any help you can give by donating would be so much appreciated and will help to support Tharel's full recovery as well as help to cover the huge financial challenge we face.

Update on Tharel Thompson, a Bajan on holiday who was stabbed in Reading and is now in an induced coma at a hospital in Oxford.
