Money for Artist Visa Renewal
Donation protected
Hello everyone! Thank you for taking a look at my story. :-)
My name is Eitaro, a Rockabilly guitarist from Japan.
Like many other musicians, I lost ALL gigs after the COVID-19 pandemic hit early March 2020. All concerts and events were cancelled or postponed and with much uncertainty on when things will go back to normal. Yes, I'm completely out of work.
Local musicians including myself are trying our best to raise money by doing online gigs (live streaming) and only recently have had outside gigs with social distanced seating.
However, it is not enough to support our lives... :-(
The reason why I decided to do a fundraiser here is that my current visa is expiring at the end of this year.
If we want to stay in the US, we would have to renew it, which costs a ton of $$$. Our visa is expiring soon and we need to submit all documents this fall, but due to what happening we have not been able to make enough money to pay the renewal fee. There is no hope of getting enough gigs back to pay the visa renewal fee too.
I came all the way from Japan to live my dream, since I was 14, to become a Rockabilly guitarist in America. I am not ready to end my career and passion like this and still want to play with as much zeal and appreciation for music as I did since I came to the US.
I do not want to give up on our visa and a chance to continue our lives together here. I still have a lot more to give to this country.
Please help us keep our visa statuses active. Any amount will be deeply appreciated.
Thank you very much in advance!
Eitaro & Yuki
