The Big Smoke Kids Lunch Fund

Donation protected
As the latest lockdown grinds on, once again we find ourselves in a unique position to be able to give back to our local community. We have teamed up with a group of local schools in Surbiton and Kingston to give children who are eligible for free school meals some much needed help over the next few months. Starting this week, we’ll be providing 200 meals a week to be distributed to these children via their schools.

As you’re no doubt aware, the hospitality industry has been absolutely devastated by the series of lockdowns caused by the pandemic, and as the level of support from government has decreased, the financial burden of running these initiatives is becoming more difficult for us to manage alone.

We were absolutely blown away by the offers of support during the last half term when we provided over 1000 meals, so we’ve decided that we’ll now be accepting donations so that we can all continue to make a difference to the lives of people in our community.

Any donations that we receive will be used to purchase food to be made into meals for those in need. Any surplus at the end of lockdown will be donated to FareShare, the charity championed by Marcus Rashford, dedicated to fighting hunger and food waste.

Thank you for your ongoing support,

Rich, James and the whole Big Smoke Family.
