The Brad Borton Memorial
Donation protected
On April 30, 2018 the horse show industry lost a true supporter, luminary and friend.
The Brad Borton Memorial Limited Non-Pro Longe Line pays tribute to Brad’s own love for the Longe Line class and his commitment to inspiring breeders and owners to showcase their young pleasure prospects.
Thanks to generous donations from Brad’s family and friends in the industry, the Brad Borton Memorial Fund rewarded the top 10 highest placing Limited Non-Pro Longe Line exhibitors competing at last year’s Tom Powers Futurity with over $6,000 in cash and prizes.
This year’s event will be featured on Thursday, June 27, at the Tom Powers Futurity in Berrien Springs, Michigan. The class will run concurrently with the Non-Pro Longe Line. Only exhibitors not currently listed on the NSBA Open Non-Pro Longe Line list are eligible to receive bonus money and prizes and recipients are handed cash and prizes as they exit the arena.
To make a contribution to the Brad Borton Memorial Fund, mail checks, products or coupons for products to: Brad Borton Memorial Fund, c/o Lenora G. Sheppard, 532 Church Street, Sewell, New Jersey, 08080. Donations can also be made online here.
EVERY dollar and product item donated will go DIRECTLY to the highest placing Limited Non-Pro Longe Line exhibitors in the Memorial class. By doing that, we can make Brad’s vision to “pay down as far as possible” to encourage new exhibitors to enjoy their horse and enjoy the Longe Line class that he loved so dearly.
Each donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated and all donors will be recognized either during the presentation of the class, in promotional efforts or both. We are very thankful for your support of this cause that is so close to our hearts.
Sincerely,
Corrine Borton and Courtney Borton Ament
