The Healing You Can Do- Equine Program and Book

I am a child abuse and trauma survivor, and the author of a book about healing for others like me.  The Healing You Can Do is a message of empathy, affirmation and empowerment that you can not only make it through to find healing from your trauma, but you can make the world a better place because of the strength you found in yourself through the pain of your past.  

- The message has now moved beyond the book, to become a program of empowered healing for survivors in Clark County, WA.  I am proud to be able to work with survivors in here, to provide a safe and private space to tell their story to someone who isn't afraid to hold space for them, and to listen without judgement, to help them move past the pain.

- I work with my clients to find clarity, mindfulness and methods for coping with the side effects and stress of living with pain and trauma.  These methods are real ways they can find peace and relief day to day, so that they can find a fuller and more enjoyable life, starting now.

- Finally, we move onto the powerful and grounding equine work.  

I guide you through the 'horse chooses you' experience.  It's powerful, spiritual, and results in you having a strong bond with the horse whose story is meant to teach you moving lessons about yourself.  This is not a riding program- this is a spiritual one.  

You will learn natural horsemanship methods for gaining trust from your horse, and trust in the strength you find in yourself through the experience.  You will feel more confident, safe in your own skin, and you will honestly learn really effective ways of creating healthy boundaries in life, and with other people through this.  

I work with mostly women, but I will accept all people from all walks of life into the program, if it's the right fit for them.  I especially love to work with the 'wild woman' methods of healing, and helping women and girls find confidence in their intuition and instinct.  



The core of this program is based on the message of The Healing You Can Do, written for all ages of survivors.  I have seen readers from age 3 to 70 smile and tear up as I read, and then find the strength to tell their story.  This is the most important part of finding healing from your trauma.  If you're brave enough to tell your story, then other survivors can feel free to tell their own... healing is contagious that way.  My joy, and my purpose in life is connecting with hurting souls and helping them find their way to healing, wholeness, peace and joy.  

The next step for this message and this program is to be able to acquire really special land, to build a retreat space for trauma survivors to find a customized program for them, to be able to explore alternative therapies, including bodywork, dance and art therapies, equine program, garden therapy, etc.  This is a place for them to connect with nature in a private space, and to find a supportive network of talented professionals to help them on their healing journey.  This would be a game changer for our  community, as we have so many survivors who are struggling to find support or live a full life- therefore unable to reach their full potential.  

This program has been a dream for two years now, and since it's conception, it has had enthusiastic support from local providers and trusted leaders in our community.  

Trauma, especially family abuse and pain, is cyclical.  If we do not tend to the survivors today, their pain is likely spread to others and trauma will continue in their lives, and in our community.  Though, if we reach out to give empathy and encouragement to them today, and open their eyes to the power of change they have inside, they have the opportunity to break free of the chains on their heart.

Donations you give will help us work toward finding land to begin this project.  

The vision is, at least 20 acres, preferably closer to 50  or 100, so that we can provide walking trails, camping and space for tiny houses to be set up for a short term safe house network for people in need.
We will create a layout of transportable and affordable structures that are easy to run off of solar for renewable energy, where our providers can work, and for our therapies to take place.  

In  this Covid and mid- pandemic era, my goal is to make a space that is pandemic proof, and will allow a safe space for people to seek support.  I plan on these structures being able to open up into wide doorways to offer ample airflow, and to be easily sanitized.  

The cost of each structure will be around $10,000, and will require low to no maintenance, along with running on solar power.  

I expect the entire space and program to require between 800,000 and 1.5M to complete, so that we can be ready to provide care and holistic therapies for our community.  Of course, if we find cheaper land than is the market standard in this area, we will need less!  

I believe everything in this journey happens for a reason, and everything so far has been strongly spiritually directed.  If you feel called to be a part of this program or to give in any way, big or small- you will be helping us make this project a reality- and you will be part of changing hearts and lives forever.
