The High Road, Inc. is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, and non-sectarian public charity designated by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of N.C. Our primary purpose is to serve the Military Veteran Community in Rowan County, N.C., and be an advocate for ALL undervalued and underrepresented people living here.
Our Mission is to serve as a resource to help Veterans effectively deal with the complexities and challenges of civilian life. We will accomplish this by providing a place of respite, relaxation, comradery, and act as a referral source to resources and care that can aid in wellness and personal growth. Additionally, we will serve as an advocate for ALL undervalued and underrepresented people, focusing on ensuring equity, fairness, and equal access.
With the money raised, we'll ensure Veterans in our County have all the resources needed to have a relaxing atmosphere conducive to alleviating stress, depressive moods, and concerns about the challenges they face adjusting to civilian life. Three of our five Board members are Veterans, so ensuring we're providing support, resources, and opportunities is important to us.
