The youth takeover project.
Our goal is simple - we want kids to develop healthy habits so that we can combat a generational health crisis, also known as Childhood Obesity.
Statistically, childhood obesity reinforces unhealthy habits which lead to health concerns for adults like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, fatigue and other symptoms. My team and I believe that preventive measures like education, active lifestyles and a nurturing environment can help reduce this epidemic that many inner-cities kids experience due to the lack of accessibility to programs that focus on healthy living.
Our crowd-sourcing efforts will help pave the path to a healthy living lifestyle for every child enrolled in our program by allowing them to earn a TYTO scholarship. We plan to implement a framework that any public or private school can be a part of by automatically enrolling students. Students athletes that are currently enrolled in a K - 12 classroom setting will be provided a safe, stable, structured environment that conditions them into healthy physical, mental and wellness habits. Our team is certain that with long-term, focus on healthy habits throughout a child's academic career 100% of all children can achieve a healthy lifestyle throughout their entire life. We are so committed in saving lives through this preventive approach, that we envision this program to become one of the only academic outlets into a health scholarship fund.
We want to encourage, support and empower children, families and nearby communities that it's important to build long-lasting healthy habits and encourage them to influence their inner-circles of the best practices they've learned from our highly trained staff. Our program would award all participants a full scholarship to the college or training school of their choice if they continue to be part of the program up to their senior year in high-school. We believe this constant reinforcement and nurturing environment focusing on healthy living is a vital learning block and should be part of the academic landscape for all children in the United States. By achieving healthy habits, we instill discipline, self-care and a healthy outlook in life.
The program/workshops would be available in an after-school environment with drop-in, flexible hours from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Program attendees will participate in activities land topics like health academics, field sports, self defense, nutrition, yoga, mindfulness, meditation, cardio, running, youth development, conditioning, cross-training, mental health triggers, and many more emerging practices utilized by health professionals throughout the world. Help us by supporting our lifelong mission to make make every child in America healthy.
