On July 10, 2022, at 7:20 pm, a Fatal Crash on the Garden State Parkway South in Aberdeen, NJ, Changed Our lives forever. The Community is saddened by the loss of these Three Beautiful Ladies barely completing the first quarter of their lives.
Detriona Young, 26 years of age, A Beautiful Young Lady from Asbury Park, was a High School Graduate of Charter Academy in Lake Cuomo. She also studied at Bloomfield College and was just a few credits shy of obtaining her BA Degree. Detriona worked as a Direct Support Professional, a Very pleasant young lady despite the adversity of losing the father of her baby girl in her 8th month of pregnancy. Detriona's beautiful daughter is now 9 months and left to this world without both her mother and father. She also leaves behind her Mother, Detriece Young, a brother, grandparents, Colleagues, Staff and a host of family and friends.
Janiyah Sane Rudolph, 24 years of age A Former High School graduate of Charter Academy in Lake Cuomo. Janiya was an ambitious and talented young lady from the Heart of Asbury Park. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech at CVS and is tragically leaving behind her beautiful miracle son "Jax." Janiya also leaves behind her mother, Deniece Dunbar, her sisters and brothers, Colleagues and many family members and friends.
Ajene Kai Brodie, 25 years old, was a Former High School graduate of Charter Academy in Lake Cuomo. Ajene previously studied at Bloomfield College. Her life was also snatched away from us way too soon! Until this horrific tragedy, she worked as a Direct Support Professional at Allies. A very loving and outgoing young Lady who worked with women with disabilities and was in the process of working on her Nursing Career this coming Fall. Ajene still had a lot she wanted to accomplish in life. She tragically leaves behind her mother, Tracy Dunbar; her dad, Robert Bryan Brodie, brothers, a sister, God children, and her grandmother "Betty" who she Adored!! She loved helping and providing care for her. She will be sorely missed by an enormous amount of family, friends, Colleagues and Staff. Her entire Brodie and Dunbar family is left to share her Legacy.
These beautiful young ladies had a lot in common. They schooled together in some capacity, and they rolled together; 2 of them were cousins, and All 3 of them were Sisters to Heart. They were indeed friends to the end!! As we pray for healing and strength for these families, let us also remember these Hurting and Grieving parents, Grandmothers, and Aunts who are left to raise these innocent babies and any expenses and challenges left behind from them their Great Loss. Although money will never bring them back, it can ease some of the financial burdens. Let us come together and help these families, “No donation is too small.” Please continue to pray for these families. They need your prayer, and a helping hand as these gestures of gifts are PRICELESS! They need us ALL more now than ever. #ltTakesAVillage! #Threebrokenchains
