Timmis Speedway Mildura Track Safety Upgrades

Mildura Speedway Drivers Club are calling for donations to go towards the next stage of our major complex upgrades.
As part of the Timmis Speedway continuous upgrade plan, our next stage is to upgrade our catch fence as per Speedway Australia's safety requirements and gain the complex a 5-star safety rating.
Stage one of our continuous upgrades also includes moving back the spectator safety fence.
Stage two planned for the following year will include upgrading our track lighting to LED, dramatically reducing our power load and cost whilst removing the old overhead power lines.
The club is reliant on our dedicated volunteers, sponsors, and donations to make a project like this viable.
Our last major project and GoFundMe fundraiser was to carry out our major track upgrades in 2020/21, which included widening the circuit to 20m and increasing and correctly shaping the track camber. This project was a massive success and dramatically transformed our racetrack into one of the best speedways in the country.
We are so grateful for the people who contributed to the last fundraiser, the people who put in hours and hours of work and the local businesses who contributed to the massive upgrades.
We are required to complete the new fence upgrade before the next 2022/23 Speedway season before commencing the lighting upgrade shortly after.
This is an exciting time for Timmis Speedway and the Mildura Speedway Drivers Club with the aim to have the first 5 Star safety track in Victoria. We are continuously upgrading and improving our complex to benefit both the competitors and speedway fans across the country.
