Type 1 Diabetic - best friends together!

Briana and Amelia are 2 young girls who have Type 1 diabetes. They both have very different diagnosis stories and cope with their disability in different ways. So we (their mums) have both decided to share their story with everyone in order to raise awareness.
For the month of October we are raising awareness and fundraising for the girls local diabetes team. They both come under Dumfries and Galloway Pediatric Diabetes services. Fundraising for this service is our way of supporting and also thanking them for their support towards our families. They have done so much for us, not just helping us to manage the girls diabetes….they have listened to us and given us emotional support when needed. And for that we are forever grateful!
So for this month we have chose to run for quite a good reason. We don't particularly enjoy running but we chose this activity to reflect the days where our daughters are frustrated with their diabetes - they don't have a choice. Therefore we face our running challenge head on like they do with their diabetes!
